Outside network coverage, the system automatically switches to a VHF signal with a range of up to 9.3 miles [15 km], depending on the terrain. This dual-mode communication ensures continuous tracking, even in remote areas where standard GPS trackers lose signal. The HOUND-X GPS kit operates in conjunction with your smartphone via a Bluetooth connection, which is essential for displaying maps and accurately viewing the position of your dogs in real time on the mobile app!
